These terms govern your use of the Goa IT Business Association (“GIBA”) website, member portal, and related services. By becoming a member or using this website, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing this website, creating a member account, or registering for an event, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Membership
- Membership is granted at GIBA’s discretion and is subject to payment of applicable fees and continued good standing.
- You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your profile up to date.
- Memberships may expire, and can be renewed, suspended, or terminated in accordance with GIBA’s rules.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at secretariat@giba.in if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Upload content that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our systems, or disrupt the service.
- Misuse other members’ information obtained through the directory.
5. Member content & the public directory
You retain ownership of the business information, logos, and media you upload. By choosing to make your profile public, you grant GIBA a licence to display that content in the members’ directory and on your member page. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you provide, and you may change its visibility or remove it at any time.
6. Events, registrations & passes
- Event registration may require admin approval; approval, entry passes, and any return gifts are issued at GIBA’s discretion.
- Where an event carries a fee, participation is subject to payment. Refunds, if any, follow the policy communicated for that event.
- Entry passes are personal to the named holder and may not be transferred unless expressly permitted.
7. Intellectual property
The GIBA name, logo, and the website’s design and content (other than member-supplied content) belong to GIBA and may not be used without permission.
8. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
9. Disclaimer
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work to keep it accurate and available, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, GIBA will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Goa shall have jurisdiction over any dispute.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
